The Mt Tyson Piggeries company owns a large, delightfully-appointed residential property for comfortable share accommodation of migrant staff.

In addition, the company has purchased the adjacent block of land for the purposes of building further accommodation in the near future.

The residential house is furnished, including both indoor and outdoor entertainment areas (with outdoor gas barbeque facilities), sunroom, well laid-out gardens including productive fruit trees, dual oil heating throughout, self-sufficient rainwater and bore water supplies, and is ready for immediate occupation.

The residence is located only 4.2km from our Mt Tyson farm, and is situated in the main street of the rural township of Mt Tyson.

Although small, with a population of only 150 people approximately, Mt Tyson is a charming place to live, with a thriving and close-knit community atmosphere.

Mt Tyson township is well laid-out, with wide tree-lined streets, and has been a Queensland Rural “Tidy Towns” winner for several years running.

Our residential property is only a few minutes walk from all of the local facilities the township has to offer, including a Convenience/ Newsagency/ Hardware store, Australia Post Office and Petrol Station.

An excellent State Primary School (attendance is free for all school-aged children attending grades 1-7), public tennis courts, a public park, a children’s playground, and much more.

There are also two lovely Churches within the township, with active Anglican and Catholic communities.
